Operation
The tethered ride experience may be delayed or cancelled due to weather conditions. Any information regarding changes to the event will be posted on Facebook and the official website.

In the morning of 6/30, the first free fly show will be held; therefore, there will be no tethered ride experience.

In the afternoon of 8/13, due to the closing night glow event, the tethered ride experience will end at 6pm.

    During the 2018 Taiwan International Balloon Festival, Taitung residents only need to pay NT$100 to enjoy unlimited access to the festival without paying a cleaning fee. Apply now for this great deal!

    From now until 8/13 (event end date), residents of Taitung or people working or studying in Taitung are eligible to apply with their national ID, work ID, student ID or other related IDs and car registration presented. Application location: Administration Office, B1, Xinsheng Underground Parking Lot, Xinsheng Road, Taitung City (office hours: 08:00-12:00) and the toll station at the junction of Xinsheng Road and Nanjing Road, Taitung City (office hours: 12:00-21:00)

    To help Rift Valley area residents to apply, starting from the event opening day (6/30), Rift Valley area residents can apply at the Luye Highland ticket booth in the event venue (Vehicle registration is not limited in Taitung, but rental and commercial vehicles are not applicable).

    The annual balloon festival will be held from 6/30 to 8/13 in Taitung. Visitors driving to the festival will be charged an entry cleaning fee, no matter the size of the vehicle (cars or trucks). Charge times during the festival are from 5.30am to 8am and 3.30pm to 8pm. A car will only be charged once a day. Motorcycles and bicycles will not be charged.
